SCHEDULE
Our community gardens are open year-round to members and volunteers. They host an Opening Day the first week of May. All gardens mark October 15th as their official Closing Day, at which point all plots should be prepped for the winter months. Our Square Foot Gardening 101 classes take place in select gardens, but are open to all gardeners and volunteers. These classes are typically hosted in early June. Throughout the growing season, each garden may host clean-up projects as needed or social events to celebrate.
IS THERE A FEE?
Yes, if you are growing for your household only. Community garden fees are based on household size and income, or on institutional budget. Fees are due if/when plots are assigned and support Growing Places’ management of the gardens. Please see our application for our fee scale.
