We are now accepting applications for the 2017 Teaching Garden season! 

We review applications we’ve received for our Teaching Garden program three times a year following seasonal deadlines. We continue to accept applications until either our Teaching Gardens are full or May 26th, at which point all eligible applicants will be notified that they’ve been placed on our waiting list for the following season.

2017 Teaching Garden Season Application Deadlines:

Autumn deadline: November 30, 2016

Winter deadline: February 1, 2017

If space remains, our spring deadline will be May 26, 2017.


Step 1
Start by reviewing our Contribution and Fee Scale to determine where your household income falls.

Priority is given to income-qualified households in the Leominster, Fitchburg and Clinton areas, but limited space is available in our Teaching Gardens for over-income households.

Step 2 
Next, complete our English or Spanish online Teaching Gardener application.

Step 3
Following an application deadline, we’ll review all the applications we’ve received and determine the upcoming class of Teaching Garden participants. You will be notified soon after if you’ve been approved as a Teaching Gardener.

If you’re eligible, but the program is full, you’ll be notified that you’ve been put on a waiting list for next year. If you’re not eligible, you’ll be notified with an explanation.
