In 2011, Growing Places served 60 new households. Additionally, Growing Places continued work with 51 households who started GP’s 2-year program in 2010. In total, GPGP worked with 111 households in 2011.
In the 10 years since inception, Growing Places has served a total of 350 households as presented in the table below. Based on application information, Growing Places estimates that its gardens have directly provided food for over 900 people. Additionally, gardeners often report that they shared their bounty, so we do not know the true number of GP beneficiaries, nor do we take into consideration the number of children who are benefiting from the school gardens we install.
